Renaissance

What was the change?
The renaissance started in 1300 AD and ended in 1500 AD. This period was a time for a boom in cultural diffusion, in which the amount of trade didn't do anything but help it prosper.The renaissance was the rebirth of classical Greece and Rome. This happened due to the crusades in which the Christian's brought back information from the Old Byzantine Empire after there missions.

How did the change impact society at the time?
During the renaissance the spiritual society was probably hit the hardest. The new humanistic perspective made people move towards the secular ways of viewing the world. The church was going through a major decrease of power. Also the people started to be more artistic, in the became renaissance people, in which there are a feew that will never be forgotten.

Leonardo was a inventor, painter, sculptor and scientist. His most famous piece of art was the Mona Lisa.
Michelangelo Buonarroti
Michelangelo was known for his magnificent way of portraying the human body. The David is a piece of artwork which was thought to be to advanced.
Dante Alighieri
Dante wrote in the vernacular language which was the native language, because most people didn't speak Latin anymore. His most famous piece of art was "The Inferno".
How is that change evident in today's modern society?
The effects that the renaissance can still be seen in the artwork that many artists try to create. Many of Da Vinci inventions have helped us create new technologies such as the parachute, the machine gun ,and the diving suit. The literature from the renaissance also was wrote in the vernacular language which could be reason why we all dont speak only classical languages such as Latin and Greek.
