Volunteer to Support Next Week's Book Fair
PTO is thrilled to bring the Scholastic Book Fair to Hollymead from March 18 to 22! All purchases help benefit our school community while inspiring a love of reading in our students.
Visit the dedicated website for more information, including a digital flyer of offerings, ways your student can shop without cash, our book goal, and more. Look for details to come home with your student this week.
Join us on Friday, March 22 from 5 to 7 pm for Brownies and Books in the Hollymead library! Families are welcome to browse the selection, enjoy treats, make book donations to classrooms, and take home their book fair purchases.
We need volunteers to make the week a success! Sign up now and pitch in to set up, work at the Book Fair, provide baked goods for the event, clean up, and more.

ACPS and HES News and Reminders
ACPS Redistricting News
An important milestone is coming about decisions for the northern feeder pattern for Albemarle County Public Schools, with impacts to Hollymead Elementary School. On March 14, the School Board will hold a public hearing on the redistricting recommendation, then vote on the recommendation at the meeting.
Learn more about this initiative on the Redistricting Advisory Committee webpage.
Call to Action: Fund Our School Buildings
Families, please consider sending an email to the Board of Supervisors at bos@albemarle.org urging them to increase funding for our public school buildings in the Capital Improvement Plan. Currently, the five-year plan does not account for improvements to Hollymead and may impact staffing levels. Learn more on the ACPS website.
Congrats to ACPS Teacher and Classified Employee of the Year Nominees
