A Note From The Principal
Greetings Parents & Scholars,
News and Updates! I hope you are having a wonderful summer. Our Summer Advantage program is off to a great start. Please see our photos below. As a reminder, we are very thankful to our partners from The Gleaners Food Bank to provide meal boxes every Tuesday for pick up for our families between the hours of 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the front of our building.
Looking Ahead! We are incredibly excited that your family chose GVP as the school for your child/children! At GVP, your scholar(s) will receive rigorous instruction led by highly qualified teachers in small class sizes. We engage our scholars in standards-based reading and math curriculum while integrating technology to help them prepare for their futures in the 21st century. We also believe in teaching the whole child, and guiding our scholars in service-based learning projects and character education programs designed to inspire strong community and world leaders. Our ultimate goal is to ensure our scholars master key academic skills and demonstrate strong character as exhibited by honesty, service to others, a superior work ethic, and a strong vision for and belief in their futures.
Onward and Upward! For my 8th grade families as you prepare for 9th grade please consider furthering your education at our very own James & Rosemary Phalen Academy (JRP). We have included contact information below. Families, we have also included an informational segment about our PLA University. If you are interested in furthering your education or learning a new trade, this is for you! It will be a game-changer for so many of our families.
Best,
Javaris Carrion
