Principal Connection
Hello Dorr Families,
Thank you to all who attended Parent Teacher Conferences this week. PTCs are a great time to hear how much your student has grown this year and to celebrate this with your student.
It is also a time to focus on “what comes next” in learning, and to help your student remain vigilant to their purpose in school. This includes academics and behavior expectations and growth. We appreciate your continued support in both these areas. If you were not able to attend PTCs, please reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule a phone conference.
Best Regards,
Mrs. Seniura

Distinguished Artist - Mason Miling
Dorr Elementary has a Distinguished Artist Program in which student artwork is on display like an art gallery for the school year. Each year 9 students are chosen as a Distinguished Artist. The distinguished artist is a student who is responsible in art, shows their creativity and works hard on all projects. Ms. Corcoran chooses 3 to 4 pieces of artwork in which the students followed directions and completed the project adding their creativity. A committee of staff members then votes on the projects to choose the winner.

Rock, Paper, Scissors War - Fun Game For Staff, Great Learning Experience For Students!
Dorr Elementary staff held a Rock Paper Scissor competition for Leap Day. Each staff member started with 5 necklaces. Then staff challenged each other to a game of rock, paper, scissors. The winner took one of the opposers necklace. The staff with the most necklaces at the end of the day won a prize. Students got a great lesson on sportsmanship, and cheered their teachers on. All day you could hear staff and students challenging each other, cheering and laughing. 3rd Grader Owen even challenged Mrs. Seniura to a game. Owen was the winner!
It's Snowing At Dorr Elementary! Well, Kind Of.
Snow is all but a distant memory for most, but you can still find hints of it at Dorr Elementary. Our Kindergarteners made one more painting of the snow before they move on to spring!
