Dialogue
Friendship is portrayed a lot in Of Mice and Men " Not us! An' why? Because... because I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you, and that's why. " (page 14) This quote is a divine example of friendship shown through dialogue because both look after each other.
Description
As the story continues of Lennie and George's journey throughout farms across California, the story gives perfect examples of how their friendship is. " They had walked in a single file down the path, and even in the open one stayed behind the other. " (page 3) This quote is a picture perfect example of description, because it gives a great image of how both characters go wherever the other one goes.
Characterization
From the beginning of the book to the end, the way the characters are portrayed changes through out the book. " Then he replaced his hat, pushed himself back from the river, drew up his knees, and embraced them. Lennie, who had been watching, imitated George exactly. " ( page 4) This example demonstrates how Lennie's character is to follow other people who he looks up to.
