Highlighting Oster Pride
Oster's 4th and 5th graders recently had an opportunity to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. 15 finalists competed on Tuesday, January 17th, and a school champion was crowned. Congratulations go to Akira Lavu from Mr. Sinclair's class who will now go onto the regional competition. Second place went to Nethra Iyer in Ms. Plane's class and third place was Jiyul Kim from Mr. T's class. The other awesome finalists were George Liu, Ami Zaraysky, Surabhi Moro, Ananya Saravana Kumar, Venkat Ganesh, Angela Zheng, Gagan Nithin, Rayhaneh Bahmanpour, Hilal Basturk, Zenia Shroff, Suhas Moro and Doreen Chiang. Great job kids and Go Cougars!
Calling all Oster's Artist and Writers
Union School District is excited to announce the 2023 USD Creativity Showcase! All of our TK through 8th grade students are invited to participate. We cordially invite all of our Oster students to submit their creative work in the themes of Community, Health, and Wellness. Submissions may be in the form of, but not limited to: Multimedia Art, a Performance, or a Written Work limited to one page. Masterpieces will be displayed and shared at our USD Creativity Showcase on Saturday, April 1, 2023. This event will be hosted at Union Middle School as part of our district-wide Health and Wellness Community Event.

2023-2024 Registration Begins on February 1st
Oster is hosting an online multi-grade level orientation meeting for new incoming families of students in TK through fifth grade. This event will take place at 6:00 PM on January 25th. Click the link below for more information about this virtual event.

Oster Yearbooks - Order NOW
The Oster 2022-2023 Yearbooks are available to order for $30. Order by the end of January to ensure you get a copy. International Night: INFO SESSION
Mark your calendars for International Night, Wednesday, April 19th from 5 - 7pm, details to follow. International Night is presented by Home & School Club and marks the return of a long-time Oster tradition.
To prepare for International night, we need YOUR help. County leaders are needed. Join us at the info night on Wednesday, January 25th from 6 - 7pm in the Oster Teachers’ Lounge (next door to the office).
Learn how you can be part of this special event!
Discussion will include: How to lead a country’s booth? What are the expectations? Brainstorm how to make this fun!
