What is Title I?
•As part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Title I focuses on improving the academic achievement of disadvantaged children.
•Funding seeks to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging State academic standards and State academic assessments.
•Currently, BCPS serves elementary schools with poverty rates at or above 56% and middle schools at or above 61%, as determined by free and reduce meals status.

Each year Lansdowne Middle School sends home a compact that outlines the unique roles students, families and schools all play in supporting your students success.
