Family Fun Night - September 6th
Immediately following the PTO meeting, parents will join their child's teacher to learn all about what goes on during the school day. Teachers will review curriculum, grading policies, and homework, as well as answer any questions you have regarding your child. In order to accommodate families that have children in different grade levels, there will be two sessions offered for each grade level. Session one is 6:00-6:30 pm, and session two is 6:30-7:00 pm.
We can't wait to see you on Wednesday!!

Returning Student Registration Forms
Welcome back, Vikings! Each year, all families are asked to confirm or update information for each child attending a Lago Vista ISD school. We are excited to announce that parents will no longer be required to complete registration forms by hand, nor will students be asked to bring these forms back and forth between school and home.
Beginning this year, all registration forms will be distributed, signed, and submitted electronically. Your completed forms will be submitted with a digital signature. Your digital signature and the document you sign are encrypted together and bound with a tamper-evident seal.
In the next few days, you will receive an emailed Adobe form packet from Lago Vista ISD Registration. Please complete all forms in their entirety. If you have multiple students enrolled in Lago Vista ISD, you will receive registration forms for each student.
PLEASE NOTE: Adobe will auto-generate a daily reminder email until the form packet is submitted. Forms will expire 7 days after sending.
For questions related to student registration and enrollment or if you do not receive a returning student form packet by Monday, please contact the campus of enrollment at (512) 267-8300.
Again, we welcome you back to Lago Vista ISD and look forward to a great year!

Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families! In our counselor guidance classes this month, students will be learning about the character trait of Responsibility. I will be teaching what it means to be a responsible person--by doing what you are supposed to do, planning ahead, always doing your best, using self-control, being accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes, and setting a good example for others. We are discussing ways children can show responsibility at home, at school, with friends, and in their community.
At home, you can talk with your child about responsibility, and teach them that by doing chores, answering for their own actions, being trustworthy, and using good judgment are signs that they are growing up and can be trusted with greater freedom! Try to "catch" your child making responsible choices, and let them know how much it means to you.
"The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence." ~Denis Waitley
