focuses on Christ-centered values and develops the unique potential of each student
through a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
We all made it through two days of distance learning! Well done! I want to thank our students, parents, caregivers, and teachers who are navigating these waters for the first time and doing a great job. You are ROCK STARS! We realize things may not have been perfect, but I am amazed by so many positive things I have seen or heard that are evidence of the strong community we have. Also, thank you to so many of you who have offered words of encouragement to me and to our staff, who have bought us coffee or treats, who have shared valuable information as we made plans, and more. We are blessed to have this community of faith in such uncertain times!
I will try to post morning announcements similar to what we do here at school on Facebook at 8:00 a.m. each day. This might be a nice way to feel connected to SPB and start off your day of learning. Click HERE to see today's announcements. Our plan is to also publish our weekly Family Newsletter every Thursday afternoon to share important information with you and to keep the home/school connection strong. Of course, should there be anything that we need to communicate with you sooner, you can expect us to utilize our Gradelink system to send email blasts or texts and phone calls, if necessary. Please contact us at office@saintpaschal.com if you need to update any of your contact information.
Finally, a parent shared this resource with me provided by the NCTSN (The National Child Traumatic Stress Network), and I thought it was a valuable document to pass on to you: Parent/Caregiver Guide to Helping Families Cope With COVID-19. This resource will help you think about how an infectious disease outbreak might affect your family—both physically and emotionally—and what you can do to help your family cope.
Let us continue to pray for all those affected by this virus and let us pray for the medical professionals who are examples of compassion and strength in caring for those in need. Tomorrow, enjoy a well-deserved day off! Back at it on Monday.
Sincerely,
Diane Raguz, Principal

Primary Grades Parents/Guardians-We Need You!
The links for March for Grade 2, April for Grade 1, and May for Kindergarten can be found below.
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:00-1:00. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Lunch/Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:00 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting students to the cafeteria from recess, and supervising in the cafeteria. Volunteers will be with one teacher and two "core" volunteers each day to help direct. Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the grade level link to pick a time convenient for you: Grade 2, Grade 1, Kindergarten.
Our sincere thanks to the Grade 3 moms and dads who helped us in February: Mrs. Beth Velotta, Mrs. Tammy Oley, Mrs. Jaime Mance, Mr. Fred Mance, Mrs. Gina Quagliata, Mrs. Meghan Soriano, Mrs. Kate Herberth, Mr. David Fitzwater, Mrs. Iveta Fitzwater, Mrs. Ruth Pak, Mrs. Kristie Krebs, Mrs. Erica Majernik, Mrs. Megan Baco (and Sean and Jack!), Mr. Bob Patyk, Mrs. Iryna Yarovitskiy, and Mrs. Colleen McHugh.
Summer Solutions Ordering Portal Now Open!
Summer learning loss puts students at a serious disadvantage. This is when skills and knowledge are lost over the summer months, causing students to move backwards instead of progressing. By spending just minutes a day with Summer Solutions, students get the practice they need to keep moving forward. It was designed to help students return to school after summer break confident in the skills they’ve already learned and ready to master new ones. Your child worked hard all year. Make sure that progress sticks. Give your child the advantage of Summer Solutions. Click here to order your child's Summer Solutions books for delivery directly to your home!
