Family Newsletter
Cleveland STEM High School
March 1, 2024
Hello Cleveland families!
We hope you had a great first week back from mid-winter break!
As you know, we offer a range of mental health supports available to our students, including group counseling and individual therapy sessions. I'm excited to share with you, as parents and guardians or our students, an opportunity to gain new insights into how you can support your student at home.
On March 13 at 4:00 pm, Joon (who provides online therapy for our students) and Lucero will provide a free parenting webinar to help you learn the science and developmental changes behind adolescence and how to support teens and young adult children during this dynamic stage of life. Clinical psychologists Dr. Amy Mezulis and Meagan Butler, LPC will be holding a live webinar series to share how the teen brain works, what's normal and what's not, and what parents can do to help their teen during this critical time in their development.
Register for this free Zoom webinar, here.

Access for mental health services
Joon is a Seattle-based company that provides online therapeutic services for 13-24 year old clients. When students are signed up for services, they are matched with a therapist with expertise in their particular areas of need.
If this sounds like a service your student might benefit from, you can refer them right now, using this link. This service is free for Cleveland students and it is available through, at minimum, the end of this school year.
