Should PED's be allowed in sports?
Ben Patchen
Intro
I think that athletes of any sport should be banned from performance enhancing drugs. It gives an unfair advantage, can lead to long term negative health effects, and can have bad emotional effects.
Unfair Advantages
PED's give players an unfair advantage over others. They offer a burst of energy usually. Other PED's make your muscles grow and make you stronger without doing much.
Long Term Negative Health Effects
Performance enhancing drugs are don't just increase your athletic ability. Many PED's take away more health than they give to you. PED's wouldn't only be unfair to opponents, but they will hurt the player more than helping him.
Negative Emotional Effects
PED's cause irritability, mood swings, nervousness, depression and hostility. These side effects aren't safe for them and the people around them.
