1. objective
not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts
Example: The judge was not influenced by the girls tears while telling her tragic story.
The judge was not influenced when the guilty man gave her a dirty look, while walking away in cuffs.
2. subjective
based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes or opinions
Anna subjectively picked her favorite cake.
Gary always subjectively ignored the peas because he doesn't like them.
3. Bias
Prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another
Faith bias the green side because thats her favorite color.
Taylor biased for no home work because she doesn't like homework.
4. credible/ valid
believing/ having a sound basis in logic or fact.

5. counterargument
argument or reasoning put forward to oppose an idea developed in another.
American Eagle made a counterargument to sell skinny jeans.
Coach company made a counterargument to higher the prices.
6. fallacy
a mistaken belief, esp. one based on unsound argument
bobby told melissa a fallacy, that its impossible to make something beautiful out of paper clips.
My sister told me a fallacy, that I couldn't make my dream come true.
7. Tone
the general attitude of a piece of writing
the tone when sally dropped her icecream.
the tone changed completely when the girl got murdered.
8. Theme
a idea that pervades a work of literature
the theme of the story was its ok to try new things
the theme of the poem was to have confidence in your self
9. Point of View
a particular attitude or way of considering a matter.
in a fanfiction there is usually more than 2 point of views.
I'm writing a fan fiction that has 5 point of views.
10. Emotional Appeal
attempt to persuade the reader through and appeal emotions, morals or values.
the writer made me have an emotional appeal about the girls tragic story.
the teacher had an emotional appeal on the movie at the end.
11. logical appeal
attempt to persuade the reader based on statistics and facts; reasoning.
i had a logical appeal on the story about the monkey that took a selfie.
my brother had a logical appeal on the story about the person with 6 toes on one foot.
12. rhetorical question
asked in order to produce an effect or make a statement rather than to elicit information.
Sally asked a rhetorical question on the history of the old light house.
Ava asked a rhetorical question about the animals in the amazon.
