Hello April!
April is in the air! Just blooming with excitement for April showers!
Just a reminder registration for 2024 -2025 school year is now open, be sure to check your email for a snapcode for any returning students. There will be a Kinder Greet & Meet on April 10th from 5:30 p.m - 6:30 p.m for all incoming Kindergartners. Parents will have the opportunity to meet the teachers learn about information regarding champions for before and after school care and kindergarten camp down offered by United Way for all incoming kindergartners who don't have preschool experience.

Feed My Starving Children
- For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 are not allowed in our packing area (no exceptions)
- Grades K-2: 1 student to 1 adult*
- Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult
- Grades 7-12:4 students to 1 adult
Northern IL Food Bank
- Individuals must be 8 years or older to volunteer with adult
- Volunteer by yourself, with friends or family
Bed Ministry
- The Bed Ministry of St. Joseph Catholic Church is dedicated to building, assembling and delivering beds to children in need in the community.

Recipe Of The Month
Easy Nacho Recipe
Ingredients
- Tortilla chips
- Ground beef
- Diced green chilies
- Black beans
- Low-sodium taco seasoning
Toppings
- Cheddar and monterey jack cheese
- Avocado
- Sour cream or Mexican crema
- Pico de gallo
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Place tortilla chips on baking sheet: Spread tortilla chips out into an even layer on a rimmed 18 by 13-inch baking sheet, set aside.
- Brown beef: Heat olive oil in a 12-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef in chunks and cook, and crumble tossing beef occasionally until cooked through, about 6 minutes. Drain fat.
- Add flavorings: Stir in tomato sauce, black beans, green chiles and taco seasoning.
- Layer beef mixture and cheeses on nachos: Spoon mixture evenly over chips. Sprinkle both cheeses over ground beef layer.
- Bake: Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted, about 5 – 8 minutes.
- Add toppings: Top with pico de gallo and avocados. Dollop with sour cream or drizzle with crema. Serve immediately.
