Vision
Academic Excellence and Success
From Mr. R's Desk
Bobcat Nation,
Big shout-out to our very own Ms. Jenni Alfaro for her Quizlet Live presentation. We hope that everyone implements Quizlet Live in their own classrooms. We will continue to have these professional development sessions throughout the school year. Our goal is that every teacher on campus commits/re-commits to learning. We want teachers excited about learning and about engaging our students. Please keep in mind that your level of excitement and your lesson will impact your classroom culture and climate.
Please make kids a priority. Remember, schools were not created for adults to have jobs. Schools were created for kids and it is our job to make schools great. We have a responsibility to provide an education that gets students excited about school and learning. Please reflect on the following questions:
- Are kids excited about your lessons?
- Are you willing to blame yourself when kids don't get excited about your lessons?
- Are your lessons teacher-centered or student-centered?
- Have your lessons been transported from 1988?
- If your lessons were auctioned-off on eBay, would you have any bids?
- If your best lesson was judged on America's Got Talent would you get the Golden Buzzer or three Xs?
- Are you willing to record one of your lessons and post it on YouTube?
