HOMEBOUND STUDENTS TESTING
EOI Testers:
Homebound students in High School have been offered the opportunity to take their EOIs at the Enrollment Center the week of 4/13-4/17. You may notice your MP portal has a Class/Test Session named 'HOMEBOUND'. I have added these students to your list so that the counselors will be able to access the student's scores on the preliminary reports.6-8 Testers:
There are a handful of middle school/junior high Homebound students who have signed up to test with me on 4/19 and 4/20 at the Enrollment Center. These Homebound students are also listed in your MP portal under the Test Session 'HOMEBOUND'.
If you know of a student who needs to sign up to take an EOI/online OCCT and they are not listed in the MP portal under the HOMEBOUND test session, please have them contact Erin ASAP.
6th Grade Online Testing-- Important!
"6th reading has an issue with online test. Students are told at top to read two stories with different titles, having separate questions for each story. The BTC had one student say he couldn't see the second story. The second set of questions started but the first story was still on the screen. Finally after looking at it for awhile they saw 2 small buttons on the upper left corner (not with the tools) that had a 1 and a 2." These were hard to notice!
Prior to reading the instructions, please make sure the students understand how to view these questions and if necessary, make an additional announcement so students understand they may need to click button 2 if it says second stories.
There is also an error in the Test Administration Manual for online 6th grade reading. For Sample Question B, the multiple choice letters did not match what the students saw. The students' MC answers are labeled A-D on the online sample question, but in the Test Administrator Manual, they are labeled F-J. The correct answer is C.
I do not know if this is true for all online tested grades, but please be aware that the 2nd Sample Question may have different letters next to the option choices.
