Ed Foundation Community Forum
April 4, 6:00-7:30pm
Please join us for an Education Foundation Community Forum on Thursday, April 4 from 6:00-7:30pm. This is your opportunity to read and reflect upon the results of our community survey, and to weigh in on what the Foundation should prioritize as we build our budget for next year and look to the years ahead. Please join us and make your voice heard!
AUTHOR/ ILLUSTRATOR CHRIS VAN DUSEN COMING TO MCCV

On Friday, April 5, your child will have the opportunity to meet and listen to amazing, bestselling author/illustrator Chris Van Dusen as he talks about illustrating and writing his many, many amazing picture books, from Mercy Watson books to the books about Mr. McGee! Chris' newest book is a brand new one about everyone's favorite, Mercy Watson - A Piglet Named Mercy.

Scholarships available for Cherry Valley students. One scholarship per qualified student per year, until funds are depleted.
ATTENTION: Parents of students in grades 1, 2, & 3: For students dismissed at 2:30 but attending a 3:10 class, they must be supervised by a parent/adult or make arrangements with NBCC for care during that time. Children must be supervised by an adult between the time of school dismissal and the start of their enrichment class. NBCC has an aftercare program specifically for enrichment students.

SAVE THE DATE! WESTSIDE BAND FESTIVAL!

Dear Parents and Guardians of Elementary School Band Students,
We are very happy to invite your child to participate in this year’s Westside Band Festival to be
held at the Petaluma High School Gymnasium. We encourage both you and your son or daughter to attend this special evening in which your young musician will have the exciting opportunity to hear music played by our junior and senior high school bands, and to join them in performing the Grand Finale. In order for your student to participate in this wonderful event, please complete the bottom portion of this letter and have your student return it to their music teacher during their next music class.
When and Where: April 24, 2019 at 7:00 PM, (arrive at 6:30 PM), at the PHS Gym
What songs to prepare: Power Rock, Boot Scootin’ Barn Dance, The Might of Hercules and
Let’s Go Band!
What to bring: Instrument, music and stand. Trumpet and Trombone students need to
leave their instrument cases in the car.
What to wear: Students can wear their school wear (tee-shirts) or colors, black and white
or something appropriate that makes them feel special.
What time to arrive: Students should be in their seats by 6:30 PM. Please plan to arrive early to allow for parking. The concert will last approximately one hour.
