We believe in impact. We believe learning shouldn't stop during lockdown.
Teachers are now supporting home learning, but who knows how much of that home learning is actually having an impact? We know that children are understandably spending far less time on school work, so every activity, every resource, every lesson has become incredibly important. Schools must make sure that the home learning that is being created is high quality and super effective.
The Education Endowment Fund today published a rapid assessment review of all of the research currently available on what works best in remote learning. Their first key finding was that it is the quality of the learning that is crucial not the technology by which it is shared. Read the full report here: https://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/covid-19-resources/best-evidence-on-supporting-students-to-learn-remotely/
That's why we have today published on ImpactPlus our new 'How to create remote learning guide'. It takes teachers step by step through what the research says about how learning happens and simple, low prep activities that can be included in any home learning resource/session for learners even those who are struggling to access digital platforms.
