The WJHS Panther Update
April 19, 2024
Greetings Panther Families,
I'd like to recommend the following series to parents that offers valuable insights and guidance for raising healthy teenagers.
The Glenbard Parent Series (GPS): Navigating Healthy Families is a distinguished speaker series dedicated to presenting relevant, high-profile authors, educators, and clinicians. These speakers offer practical research-based knowledge, strategies, and personal experience to support students’ engaged learning, positive youth development, and well-being. GPS is a weekly resource for parents (for children of all ages) as well as students, school staff, professionals, and community members. GPS is here to inform, connect, and inspire. All programs are free, virtual, and open to the public. These events are presented at both noon CT and 7 pm CT, and offered in multiple languages.
Wednesday, May 1st @ Noon and 7 PM they will be hosting And Then They Stopped Talking to Me: Surviving Middle School. Be sure to mark your calendar, I think this webinar will be very beneficial to many.

👑We have a new ATTENDANCE CHAMPION!!👑
Attendance Matters!
Last week we extended the challenge to 6th and 8th grade to see if they could dethrone our current attendance champs, 7th grade, who won every day last week!
Well, challenge excepted!! We have a NEW attendance champ, who also won each day this week! So congratulations to the 6th Grade who are this week's reigning champs!
At WJHS we stress the importance of attendance to our students and families. To help make it fun each day we "crown" the class with the best attendance.
Ok 8th grade, let's see if next week it will be you!
