DISTANCE LEARNING TIMELINE
EXTENSION: APRIL 6 - APRIL 17
In the extension stage, teachers will start assigning curriculum-based work that is aligned to standards. Students should be getting accustomed to logging into their school emails and/or the Learning Management System (i.e., Google Classroom) multiple times of day. They should also be using the daily schedule that provides dedicated time to work in a subject area.
*We are in week two of our three week period between March 30 - April 17. This time is a great opportunity for students to do re-takes (alternative assessments), re-dos, make-ups, reviewing previous content, etc. Teachers will continue to reach out to their classes and offer their unique support.
DISTANCE LEARNING: APRIL 20 - JUNE 5
During this stage, teachers and students should be fully-transitioned to our distance learning structure. Students will be accountable for attendance and grades during this time.
DISTANCE LEARNING SCHEDULE
Below is our daily schedule during the Extension stage (April 6 - 17)
This is the structured time when students should be working on their respective subjects. This can include group work, independent work, reading text, working on essential questions or document based analysis, watching screencasts or instructional Youtube videos, as well as attending class via Zoom or some other video conferencing tool. Ultimately, the teachers will communicate how they expect this time to be used by students.
Important Note:
We understand that a few students might have two electives or two of the same subject. Teachers will communicate with individual students who might have unique schedules and will work out the issues.

SENIOR NEWS
Seniors will still receive their yearbooks. Mr. Lev and his yearbook staff have created an amazing work of art that is full of memories and highlights from this past year. When we get them back from the publisher, we will coordinate a way for them to be distributed.
At the same time, we will make arrangements for you to receive your caps and gowns and any awards and honor cords you will be receiving. There will be an opportunity for you to still wear your cap and gown, receive your diploma, and take pictures. Please stay tuned for updates, and know that we are working on it!
If you have an idea for an alternate senior activity in place of prom, grad night, and graduation, please email Debbie Broberg, our Director of Activities and Athletics.
