Human Resources
2nd Round Observations
- I will be conducting 2nd round observations over the next couple of weeks.
- This current round of observations are unannounced. A pre-conference is not required for this round.
- Once I complete your observation I will let you know a date and time to conduct your post conference.
- During the post conference, we will also complete your Mid-Year PDP.
- Length of evaluation (Full: 45-60 minutes and Abbreviated: 30 minutes). All observations/post conferences need to be completed before February 28th.
Mid-Year PDP
- Before our Mid-Year PDP conference I will need for everyone to complete the Google Slide here.
- Purpose: The goal of this activity is to give us all a chance to thoughtfully reflect upon our roles, how we are teaching, spending our time, and how our students are doing.
Directions for Completing Google Slides PDP
- Click above on the link
- Make a copy of the form
- Title form in the following format - Last Name PDP Mid-Year (Hobbs PDP Mid-Year)
- Reflect on your practice and complete each slide
- To change the chart/graphs, click on chart then click on the arrow in the upper right corner.
- Select "Open Source".
- Complete each slide
- Share with me once completed
Your mid-year PDP conference will focus on your goals, and you will be expected to guide the conversation with me. The final slide, as you will see, has a place where you will include how you’re working toward completing your PDP goals for the year; therefore, you should be able to copy/paste from there. You will then sign/complete your mid-year PDP in the NCEES system at the end of your conference.
NCAA NIght
If you teach student-athletes, would you mind helping to advertise the below date/info? Just writing the date on the board would be helpful!
NCAA Night: February 7 @6:30
MHS Cafeteria
Interested in competing in NCAA Athletics? MHS NCAA Night will help students and parents learn how to approach the college recruiting process. Brian Landis (MHS Counselor, coach, and NCAA Liaison) is facilitating the night, and Ralph Phifer and Greg Dalby are the speakers. Ralph was a 4-year letter winner at UNC-Chapel Hill, and Greg was a two-time All-American at Notre Dame and is currently coaching and recruiting for Davidson College.
Please encourage student-athletes and parents who might consider intercollegiate athletics to attend this night! If you have a team manager, program e-mail, or remind, we would appreciate if you use them to spread the word.
