Timberwolf Times
Vol. 1 Issue 38, May 15, 2019
Hello Timberwolf Nation!
Good afternoon,
The 8th Grade Pep Rally is BACK ON! We will have a shortened version of it for 8th graders only before the Clap Out on Monday. 8th Grade Parents will be able to attend as well. There will be instructions below on where and how parents are supposed to enter and how they can attend the pep rally as well. Make sure that if you are planning on coming you fill out the raptor form below to get you in quicker. We hope to make it a tradition of having the 8th Grade Pep Rally and Clap Out all at the same time!
One more STAAR test and testing is over! Next week finals start. Another year has flown by. It is such a blessing to be the principal here at WCJH. This 8th grade class will be the first that I have gotten to be with all three years of their Junior High career! Thank you parents, teachers, students and community for making this such a great school. It takes everyone to make that happen.
I hope that everyone has a great rest of the week!
Regards,
Dr. Melinda Stone
Principal

We are excited to continue WCJH's new tradition for our graduating 8th graders. On Monday, May 20th, 2019 the 8th grade students will walk the school dressed in pride, wearing either a t-shirt or school colors representing the high school they'll be attending next year. Under-classmates, teachers, staff, and family members will congratulate them and say farewell as they walk through the school. The Clap Out will start promptly at 9:45am on the 20th.
As part of the celebration, the 8th Grade End-of-Year-Committee is selling Katy and Tompkins high school shirts for 8th graders. Please note that those students who purchased a ticket to the dance will automatically receive one.

Summer Meals
Summer Meals
The United States Department of Agriculture requires that each campus notify families about the meals served each summer through the Summer Food Service Program even if the campus does not serve summer meals. The Texas Department of Agriculture provides resources to post and share with families. Soon these materials will be delivered to your front office. You will receive three posters and parent information cards. Each school is expected to display the posters immediately upon receipt. Each student should receive an information card to take home. Secondary campuses that do not have the ability to send a card to each household may want to make them accessible to parents in the front office and nurse’s office or other public areas. Share the link below on your school E News as well.
Parents know that all children 18 and under can eat breakfast and/or lunch FREE; they do not have to be enrolled in summer school or a KISD student. Free breakfast and lunch will be available at: PHS, RHS, CJH, MPE, FES, RKE.
