Serial Killer: a person who kills three or more people usually in service of a abnormal psychological gratification, with the the murders taking place over more than a month and including a significant break between them (cooling off period). Serial killers and many other criminals are the main topic in this book. It gives short biographies on the killers and tells their life story, their MO, victimology, and how they do it. The types of criminals the author gives bios about are serial killers, psychopaths, mass killers, spree killers, long distance serial killers (snipers or L.D.S.K), bombers, and many others. The author then connects the serial killers to killers from the TV show "Criminal Minds" or when they mentioned that criminal on the show. For some of the stories he tells about the people who helped catch him, the profilers.
Why it is powerful...
The author of this book can connect real killers to the fiction TV show "Criminal Minds." One example is on page 232 the author is talking about Jeffery Dahmer and when they talk about him on "Criminal Minds." He also mentions how the unsubs, unknown subjects, on those episodes connect to what he did. This is shown throughout the book at the start of all the bios.
