FRESHMAN MEETINGS
Our newest Wolves met with administrators last Friday and received information about CHS’s history, expectations, programs, opportunities, and more. The importance of organization was stressed, and each freshman received a planner to help navigate them successfully through freshman year. The Class of 2022 is off to a great start!

IB PARENT BOOSTER UPDATES
The IB Parent Boosters have a lot of great things planned to support our almost 400 IB students in grades 9-12. Here is a list of upcoming events. We would love to have you be a part of our year!
IB Booster Meeting – Wednesday 8/8 – 7pm in the CHS Media Center
We will be going through the booster club goals and events.
Dr. Murphy from ASU will be here to give a presentation about helping our kids with a positive mindset.
Practice PSAT Test – Saturday 9/8 – 8:30am – noon in the CHS Cafeteria
The IB Boosters will be offering spots for $5 to CHS students to take a full practice PSAT exam. This fundraiser is to help pay for IB student scholarships.
Goodwill Donation Drive – Saturday 9/15 – 9am – noon in the sophomore parking lot
Start saving your donation items (especially heavy things). Goodwill pays per pound!
COUNTING DOWN TO FOOTBALL
STUDENT ID Update
On Tuesday, July 31st, all seniors will have IDs made through their math classes. Seniors who received an ID at WOLF DAYS need to bring it with them as it may have missing information, and they will receive a corrected one.
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors will have their IDs taken next Tuesday, August 7th, through their English Classes during Underclass Photo Day. Transportation is aware students will not have ID’s until then.
After students receive their IDs, they must have them at all times (picture of ID on phone is fine). Replacement IDs are $5.00.
SENIOR PHOTOS
Lifetouch Prestige Photography will be on campus for CHS Senior photography sessions on the following dates: 10/1-10/6, 10/8-10/13, and 10/15-10/16.
Seniors will receive communication in September notifying them of the date and time of their appointment. Additional upgraded sessions will be available and explained in your September communication.
YEARBOOK EARLY BIRD SPECIAL
The Early Bird Special for the 2018-19 Yearbook is $60.00. The price will increase after August 18th. Purchase your yearbook from the CHS Bookstore or online at jostensyearbooks.com.
ATHLETIC CLEARANCE PACKETS
Completed athletic clearance packets are due to the CHS Athletic Office (rm. 113) prior to the season of sport. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Jim Culver or Mrs. Kim Vollaro in rm. 113.
GAME DAY SHIRTS
Fridays are Spirit Days at CHS! 2018-19 Game Day shirts are available in the Book Store for $12. Go, Wolves!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
CHS welcomes Ms. Tara Anderson to CHS’s College and Career Center, a great resource located next to the Jones Student Union. Ms. Anderson encourages every student to sign up for Remind to stay up to date with events in the Career Center at Chandler High School, including college visits, scholarships, community service, job opportunities and MORE!

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS
All college visits will take place in the CHS College & Career Center, unless otherwise specified. Students should sign up outside of the College & Career Center to attend a presentation. They will receive a pass in class on the day of the presentation.

Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona are coming together to ensure you and your family are well informed about the opportunities and resources available to you.

CHANDLER EDUCATION FOUNDATION: IMPACT CHANDLER EVENT
Chandler Education Foundation would like to invite you to participate in a free two hour event designed to engage high school students in a discussion about leadership and volunteerism in the community. The event is held at Hamilton High School, from 6-8pm on Thursday, August 9th. This event is open to IMPACT Chandler students and other CUSD high school students who would like to be part of this unique opportunity. Two hours of Community Service hours will be provided to attendees.
Registration can be completed at the Chandler Education Foundation website.
DRESS CODE REMINDER
Students who are brought to the office in violation of the Chandler High School Dress Code will be given consequences ranging from a warning (1st offense) to In School Detention (multiple offenses).
In addition, the student must remove the garment or accessory and replace it with an appropriate alternative provided by the school, student, or parent. All items are returned to students at the end of the school day. There will be a $10.00 replacement fee for all Chandler High School dress code garments not returned to the office.
CCA YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL
Applications are being accepted for the Chandler Center for the Arts Youth Advisory Council through September 7th. Fifteen Chandler area teens, between the ages of 13-17, are selected and will serve on the CCA Advisory Council for the year. They will be engaged in experiential 3-hour sessions from September - February that will provide hands-on real world leadership situations of a Performing Arts Center. Teens will complete the program with increased knowledge of: career opportunities, financial responsibility, leadership skills, small and large group dynamics and public relations and marketing.
