Principal Message
Ray Community,
It is beginning to look a lot like Spring. The weather has been beautiful the last two days. Our tutu themed run at run club went well. It was so much fun watching students run around the filed in tutus. This week we had TELPAS testing for our fourth and fifth grade studetns. We will continue TELPAS testing this upcoming week for second and third grade students.
We would like to remind our families that you may not park by our cafeteria doors and playground area after school. This is where our students load busses and we need to keep the back side of the building clear until 3:05 pm. You are welcome to park at the church on Park St. and walk over to campus to pick up your students. Please make sure they are marked walker in our SDM (School Dismissal Manager) program. Please make sure you are walking around the front of the building back to your car so we do not create congestion in our bus loading zones.
As we enter March, I wanted to ask parents to let Shannon know if you will be moving out of Reagan's attendance zone over the summer. Knowing how many students will return next school year allows us time to staff each grade level appropriately. You may reach Shannon at shannon.mcewen@leanderisd.org .
Have a wonderful weekend,
Alison Pennington

We Need Your Voice! District Feedback Surveys
Providing a safe and caring environment for all learners is something we strive for at Reagan. The following surveys are ways for us to engage our community, students, families and staff, in the collection of feedback for our campus. We will use this feedback to continue to improve as a campus. We invite our students and families to share your students experience and feedback on our school climate this year. Leander ISD is partnering with K12Insight to help us collect your feedback. The results of this survey will provide critical evidence of progress for our LISD Strategic Plan, Campus and District Improvement Plans, and our Community-based Accountability System (CBAS). They will be used by campus and district leaders to guide our ongoing improvement efforts.
The LISD Student Experience/Climate Surveys for students (grades 3-12) and parents will be open from Feb. 21 to March 8.
Preview the surveys (Note - you will not be able to take the survey from these links):
How will surveys be administered?
Parents will receive an email with a link to the electronic survey from K12Insights.
Elementary Students (grades 3-5) will have the opportunity to participate in the survey during the school day. Students will log into the survey from a landing page provided by their teacher.
Note: Students whose parents have opted out of district-level surveys this year will not be able to log into the survey and will be provided an alternative activity while their peers are taking the survey.
