Rain Forest Plants

There are flowers on this plant and those flowers can produce fruit. Sometimes the Indians from South America crush the leaves from this plant and put it on the top of their arrows to hunt for wild game.

These trees produce fruit that many people like, but has an odd odor( it smells like decaying onions and stinky cheese). These fruits actually grow from the trunks and branches of the Durian trees. Many animals also love the fruit as well. The flowers that make the fruit give of a strong odor that attracts its pollinater; the dawn bat.

Tualang: These trees are like giants to other trees. They can get up to 250 feet tall and are a member of the legume family, and are related to peas. Usually you can find this tree alone because there is no forests of just Tualang trees. Also, the tualang trees are well known because of the trees honey combs that can be 6 feet wide and can have 30,000 bees in the honey combs. You can see the top of this tree above the emergent layer.
