South Lebanon Elementary
March 2024
Notes and News from Mr. Brown, Principal
We are happy to say that things are going wonderfully at South Lebanon Elementary School! Now that we have surpassed the half way mark and are heading in to the spring, there are lots of events on the horizon.
On March 12-13 we will be hosting Kindergarten registration at South Lebanon. If you have a child that will be five years old before September 1, he or she will be eligible to begin Kindergarten. If your child meets the criteria to begin kindergarten, please be sure to call Mrs. Emerich in the school office to make an appointment if you have not already done so. We are looking forward to meeting out next flock of Falcons!
In other news, with just 3 months left of school, we are beginning to make preparations for the annual PSSA testing for students in grades 3-5. The testing will occur at the end of April. Please be aware that any educational trips or extended absence will not be approved during the PSSA testing window. Testing dates will be as follows.
- ELA - April 23-25
- Math - April 30-May 1
- Science (4th Grade) - May 2-3
If your child is going to be absent from school, please be sure to provide a note within 3 days of the absence. If your child has a doctor appointment, please be sure to get a note from the doctor, dentist, or other healthcare provider. Students are allowed 10 days of absence per year before a doctor's note is required. If you have questions about our attendance policy, please do not hesitate to reach out to the South Lebanon office staff.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education.
