Principal's Newsletter 4/19/24
Dear Wade Families,
As the weather warms up, we'd like to remind parents to review the dress code that is outlined on page 30 of the school system's calendar. Clothing must be suitable for all school activities including physical education, science labs, technical education, and other activities where unique hazards exist. Students should be mindful of what they are wearing to school. Clothing that is distracting to other students and is not appropriate could result in a call home to request a change of clothes.
Don't forget to join us tomorrow for our Wade Beautification/Earth Day event. We will have a shred truck on site where you can drop of your personal documents to be shredded. We will also be collecting donations for AMVETS. See the flyer below for more information.
If you are a parent of a rising PreK or Kindergarten student, we encourage you to attend the Early Learning Launch tomorrow, Saturday, April 20. It is a great way to have county staff help you with any questions you may have and assist with submitting your registration. Information can be found below.

Reporting Social Media Accounts
The Superintendent, Maria Navarro, sent this out to the community earlier in the week but I wanted to share it as well as we are seeing an increase in cyber bullying. Please remind your child of proper online etiquette and report any account that is involved in these types of behaviors.

Wade Community Clean up and Recycling Day
Join us for an amazing day of fun and helping save our planet. Bring your important documents that need to be shredded, any household items, shoes, and clothing that you no longer want or need to donate or just come by for good time or volunteer to plant flowers to make Wade look it's best. Use this link to sign up to volunteer.
Yearbooks
Yearbook sales are coming to an end. Don't miss out on this year's memories. Please note that we do not order extras for sale. If your child is heading to middle school next year, now is the time to order.

Update Contact Information
It is also that time of year to make sure all of your contact information is correct in our database. If you need to change any information, please email your child's teacher and Mrs. Diaz our registration secretary at jdiaz@ccboe.com, with any changes to your information.
Birthday Snacks and Classroom Treats
Due to allergies, students and their parents/guardians are not allowed to bring to school and distribute any outside food products unless the products are commercially manufactured, individually wrapped in single serving sizes and marked with the ingredients and the nutritional facts label. Parents/guardians must obtain permission from their child's teacher or school administrator prior to bringing outside food for distribution so that the teacher/administrator can review the timing and impact on the school day, the benefit and fairness to students, and other considerations.
Lost and Found
Has your child misplaced their coat, sweatshirt, lunch box, glasses or any other objects? If so, they might be located in our Lost and Found box in the cafeteria. Our lost and found box is ready to overflow and we have not even hit wintertime yet. So, if you notice that something is missing, please let their teacher know and your child can look for their materials in our lost and found in the cafeteria.
