BARBER BULLETIN
Week of March 27-March 31
ADVANCed Visit this week!
This process has been vitally important for the growth of our district. As a result of the preparation for the visit, Pontiac revisited our beliefs so that they continue to help us reflect on our practices. Administration has also been committed to instructional ELEOTs in an effort to provide each of you with immediate feedback to support your classroom instructional goals. We have also been more intentional about our communication with our stakeholders.
AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.
On Monday, all principals will be a part of the Superintendent's Overview at 8am. Following Dr. Hamm's presentation, AdvancED visitors will either visit school sites or interview principals. Dr. Barber's interview is at 1:30pm on Monday afternoon. School site visits continue on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Wednesday, March 29, at 2:30pm, there will be a special called board meeting. The AdvancED external review team will report it's findings to the Richland Two Board of Trustees.
The AdvancED Accreditation includes:
Self Assessment

Many of you were intricately involved in the development of each standard that we submitted. Thank you for your commitment to our school and district! We are so fortunate to work in such a district that is so dedicated to continuous improvement.
Midlands Summit! Reserve your Spot!
This is a great opportunity to attend a local conference highlighting innovative ways to embed technology into your classroom.
If you would like to attend, please let K.Barber know. TAs and Certified teachers are invited! The school will pay for the cost of your registration if you are able to attend both conference days.
The learning will sure to be a SPARK for you!
