Study Guide
Today we talked about how to study for the social studies test on Thursday. While there are quite a few things to know, we talked about how to break everything up each night. Today we just focused on the vocabulary words. The kids asked if they could take home their books and the study guide. Of course! They asked if they could use the glossary in the back to help them. Of course! They asked if they could write what words mean. Of course! Super smart kids. We also talked about how to use note cards and different ways to study.
Cardinals
Next Monday we will take a break from our regular routine and we will be sewing our cardinals! This is a special day as it's an annual tradition for our fourth graders. If you have older children from Union, I'm sure you are anxiously awaiting the next bird to join your flock. The following parents have signed up to help:
Mrs. Beaupre
Mrs. Achenbach
Mrs. Wilson
Mrs. Fitzpatrick
Mrs.Fyffe
Thank you so much for your willingness to join us! We will begin at 9:45, so please sign in at the main office and join us in our classroom. It may take a few students until recess to finish, but it is such a fun morning. For some kids, they have never picked up a needle and thread so this is something new to experience!
Veterans Day Program
The program today was beautiful and the children sang like angels. It was a wonderful way to start off our day. Please know if have served our country, I am so thankful for your servant's heart and dedication.
Reminder
Just a reminder to read Mrs. Melliere's letter and to return the envelope that goes to her. If you didn't receive the letter, please let me know.
Absence
I will be at a conference on Thursday and a guest teacher will be teaching the kiddos that day. Please let the main office know if there are any changes in transportation.
