Bunker Down
When there is a earthquake watch or warning, you first need to be ready for it. Having a bunker or basement is the best place to go. Somewhere strong and on the ground. Have safety kits and food if the earthquake is serious. Stay away from windows.
Duck and Cover
Ducking and covering will allow you to protect your head and neck. Also hold on tight Earthquakes can be very powerful. Like at schools they tell there students to get under a desk and cover there heads with there arms and hands and hold on. If you are at school listen to your teacher. If you're at home listen to your parents.
Exit safely
After an earthquake has past first thing to know is that there might be others coming. The best way to avoid this is just to stay put until radio's or radar's are saying they are over. Usually after a big earthquake and couple small ones will come after. But they can still be dangerous. Just stay put until you are certain it's safe.
