Student Ambassador Program
Senator Blake
High school seniors from each of the nineteen high schools in Senator Blake’s 22nd Senatorial District will be selected to participate in this program as a student ambassador. Following the application process, each student ambassador will represent his/her school at one meeting per month located at Senator Blake’s district office in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Students are expected to participate based on a predetermined itinerary of events and within certain criteria set forth in the course materials distributed at the first meeting. Each student ambassador will be expected to attend all mandatory dates and fully participate in this program. Some events in which students will partake include, but are not limited to: guest speaker presentations, tours of both the Lackawanna County Court House and City Hall, and a trip to the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg where the ambassadors will receive a guided tour and be recognized on the Senate floor.
