This week in pictures
Mr. Bennett’s students observed how different factors affect the rate of a chemical reaction, such as increasing the temperature of the solution. They dropped all Alka-Seltzer tablets into room temperature water and boiling water. They also crushed a tablet into powder and observed how long it would take to dissolve two tablets at once.
More from last week's party
*Ask your child what they enjoyed eating the most at last week’s party! Review with them the basic food groups: Protein, Grains, Fruits, Vegetables and Dairy.
*Ask your child what he/she discussed with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Practice shaking hands with each other and saying “hello”
*Enjoy some time outdoors this holiday season! Allow your child to show you the things he/she has been learning in O&M
*Ask your child to help you set the table over the holiday. Ask them what they have been learning in their ECC class about food preparations and have them participate in planning for and cooking a meal over the holiday.
*Ask your child what they are looking forward to the most during their holiday from school. Encourage them to read. Share with them a book that was your holiday favorite. Consider reading it aloud as a family.

Calling all collectors:
At the end of January there will be a special treat for the person who brings in the most Box Tops. Our goal for the end of May is 1,000 Box Tops. We now have 665, I know it is possible to get the rest over the holidays. Let’s pull together and EXCEED this goal. Thanks in advance If you have any questions contact Sylvia Layson at slayson@doe.k12.ga.us or call after 3:00 P.M. 478-751-6083 ext 1200. Thanks for all your help!
