Norris News!
A weekly update from campus...
January 11, 2019
Welcome back to our Norris families! We hope the winter break gave you the chance to catch up with friends and family and enjoy some rest and relaxation. What a perfect time to spend reflecting on 2018 and think about the opportunities that lie ahead in 2019. As a staff, we are excited about the fresh beginning the new year brings for our Norris community.
"What the new year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year.” – Vern McLellan
Best regards,

FISD Choir Festival
FRISCO ISD’S FIRST EVER CHOIR FESTIVAL, TOGETHER IN SONG, IS QUICKLY APPROACHING!
JOIN US for this celebration of music! The event will take place at Stonebriar Community Church on Saturday, January 19, at 3:00 PM. Director of Choral Studies, Dr. Allen Hightower, from the University of North Texas will be our guest conductor and direct our grand chorus made up of 240 voices from each Frisco ISD high school. High school orchestra students from across the district will also share their talents on one select performance piece. Our Frisco ISD Honor Choir will perform prior to the concert, and The University of North Texas A Cappella Choir will perform selections from their fall repertoire as well.
If music is a passion of your student(s), this will be an incredible event for them to attend so they have the chance to see the kinds of Fine Arts student opportunities available to them not only in Frisco ISD, but in post-secondary education. This is sure to be a musical experience and celebration of singing for ALL, so don’t miss out! Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by visiting [tickets.friscoisd.org]tickets.friscoisd.org. Click on the “Fine Arts” link and then on the “Frisco ISD Choir Together in Song” link. Click on “Purchase Tickets,” under “General Public Tickets” to purchase. Tickets are $5 each, and all seating is general admission for the event.
Our students have been preparing all year for this event and can’t wait to share their music with you on January 19!
