Spring is in the air Mustangs! As we close out 3rd quarter, we embark on one of our most important seasons of school, testing season. This is your time to shine! We don’t stress- we do our best! 4th quarter is also a time of celebration. We celebrate Women’s History, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and of course March Madness to name a few. Please see all the important dates below and on our message board. Let’s finish 3rd quarter strong!!
"To be the best, you have to work the hardest. You have to chase what seems impossible over and over and over again, because giving up is not an option, and when you feel like you've reached your limit, it's only the beginning, that's when it's time to dig deep, to find the courage to push some more."
- LeBron James
Let’s Go Mustangs – We R.A.C.E. to WIN!!!!
Mustang's Spotlight: Mrs. Kimberly Franklin , Elementary Teacher
This is my 5th year teaching at Mary Meredith. Prior to teaching I was an Intervention Technician here at Meredith for a year. I was born and raised in Northern California. I have been married for 32 years and I have three sons – one of which works with me here at Meredith. Prior to settling in Tucson we were a military family. We have lived in Virginia, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Indiana, and Germany. In my spare time I enjoy reading, singing, swimming, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends.

Test Taking Tips for Parents & Students: Preparing a Student for a Testing Session
1. Make sure your child gets an ample, normal amount of sleep the night before the test.
2. Mark testing days on your calendar to help remind you and your child when the testing will take place and plan your preparations.
3. The student should eat a nutritious and filling breakfast. Avoid high sugar cereals which can make the student hyper and/or unfocused.
4. Set aside time each night prior to the test for several weeks to review the concepts that will be covered.
5. Work with teachers and administrators at your child’s school to find materials to work on at home in preparation for the test.
6. Make sure the student is on time (if not early) on the day of testing.
7. Set a backup alarm to avoid the possibility of oversleeping.
8. If your child is sick, please contact the school immediately to inform the attendance clerk.
