Message from the Principals
Thank you for supporting South Row and your student during our Coin Drive and Book Fair this past week. Classes raised over $1800 to benefit the Greater Lowell YMCA. We appreciate your support!
Registration for the Multicultural Festival is now open! Click here to view the registration form along with the section below within Home Link for more information on the event.
We will be kicking off our iReady Challenge on March 18th. The grade level with the most minutes in Reading will earn a reward and likewise the grade level with the most minutes in Math will win a reward. We will track school wide minutes on the lobby bulletin board and report out grade level totals weekly. Students are encouraged to complete their minutes during school, but can also bank minutes at home. The challenge ends on March 29th.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

Book Fair Wrap Up Message:
Thank you for an amazing 2024 Book Fair!
We have wrapped up our annual Scholastic Book Fair and are blown away by the excitement and participation amongst the students, staff, and families! Student shopping days were filled with smiling and happy faces, whether the students were purchasing books, “window” shopping, or reading through the many Scholastic books that the fair had to offer during their library specialist time. Family Shopping and Game Night was equally successful, with enthusiastic BOOKO players and eager shoppers balancing piles of books in their arms waiting to check out at the registers – what a wonderful event!
A special thank you to everyone who made this weeklong event possible, including school administration, Ms Hamm, the custodians, and of course – our volunteers! Also, a HUGE thank you to all of the families who contributed to our “All for Books” coin drive these past few weeks. Ms Sanborn, Ms Krauch, and Ms D’Amico’s classes were the winners of the coin jar raffle and will be choosing $200 worth of Scholastic books for their classroom libraries. Through everyone’s efforts, we were able to raise over $1,800 - all of which will be used to purchase books for The Greater Lowell YMCA. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Online shopping is still available through Thursday, March 21, 2024 at www.scholastic.com/bf/southrow.
See you at next year’s fair!
PTO Board: We are looking for our next group of volunteers to keep the PTO running next year. All positions are technically open. So far we have had 3 people put their name in but no one has come forward for the Vice President position. If you would like to know more about that position our bylaws are at SouthRowPTO.com or you can email us with questions. If you would like to put your name on the ballot for the board you can email us at SouthRowPTO@gmail.com. We thank you in advance for helping in this way!

Teacher Appreciation Week: Every year during Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTO holds a themed lunch for all of our amazing teachers, staff, bus drivers, and district administration. We take over the gym and go all out decorating to the theme, and provide a big lunch and goodies to take with them. This year's Teacher Appreciation Lunch will be on Friday, May 3, so it is time to start the planning! The committee will hold an initial meeting on Thursday, March 21 at 7:00 at Pressed Cafe. Please join us to get involved in quite possibly the most fun event the PTO plans all year.
