LC December News
Gilbert Primary School Learning Commons 2016
Hour of Code
Other apps we are using at school are The Foos, Kodable, Dasiy the Dinosaur. I have linked them to the Common Sense reviews. The American Library Association's Best Apps for Teaching and Learning list that highlights some coding apps as well.
Some other tools we will use are Bee Bots and Puzzlets. Our Kindergarten students will use the Bee Bots for the first time and our first graders the Puzzlets. These are actual devices that allow the children a hands on coding experience. Be sure to ask your children about their coding experience in the LC.
We hope you will learn along side your child as coding affects every area of our lives these days. There will be jobs available in the future for those who learn the language of coding!
