EdPuzzle
EdPuzzle is a web tool used to engage students with a video. This can be a great way to enhance your flipped videos and formative assessment. Search within a variety of databases such as, YouTube, Khan Academy, Vimeo, and more. You can edit a video by clipping it, adding your own voice as the audio, and add questions throughout. There is also a "No Skipping" feature which makes sure students watch the entire video without skipping to the end! There are tons of great video resources at our fingertips - EdPuzzle helps us turn students from active viewers into reactive viewers. The quizzes pause the video automatically and give the option to rewatch a segment if needed. When creating your account, link to your FCSS Google account.
BlendSpace
Blendspace is a free and easy edtech tool for teachers to use when creating interactive lessons. Blendspace allows you to house all your digital content in one location, which can then be embedded within your itslearning course OR added to your Google Classroom. Users are able to add links to websites and videos, upload documents and images, and create quizzes for assessment. When creating your free account, you can link it with your @forsythk12.org Google account. Check out the lesson I created to share some holiday themed activities.
