Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
A few of our kids got a really cool experience last week that I was fortunate enough to tag along for - they watched open heart surgery!
Zoe Brock and Madison Brankamp visited Christ Hospital along with Kelly Partridge, one of our amazing LHS science teachers. We watched remotely while a doctor performed open heart surgery on a patient, and another cardiac surgeon gave us a play-by-play of what was happening in the operating room. Zoe and Madison are both interested in jobs in the medical field. I can’t think of a better way for them to see what that work is like before they head off to college. I know it was an unforgettable experience for me!
One of the goals of our #beLOVEland Strategic Vision is to expose students to the many pathways to lifelong success through enlistment, enrollment, or employment. We are always looking for ways to provide students with cool learning experiences, including internships, job shadowing, and volunteer opportunities. This year, more than two dozen local businesses and organizations have partnered with our Loveland Tiger Pathways program to help our students do amazing things.
If you have questions, send me an email at mikebroadwater@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Make an Impact for Loveland Businesses on “Impact Night”
Support our Loveland Tiger Students as they support local businesses, and join your neighbors on Impact Night. Students in the Loveland High School Tigers Inc. program lead this effort to encourage the community to eat, shop, and support local businesses on Impact Night. Join your neighbors by wearing orange and supporting local businesses on Thursday, March 14, from 5-8 pm. Tigers Inc. is our Loveland High School experiential business program, and Impact Night is now in its fourth year. Wear orange, shop local, and show off your Loveland pride!
Thank You to our Speed Mentors
Call for Volunteers and Nature Lovers
Loveland High School's very own nature preserve needs you! The Loveland Environmental Club is recruiting volunteers to help remove non-native invasive shrubs and trees between the band and softball fields at LHS. This effort will help create a healthy nature preserve that can be enjoyed and appreciated by the current and future LHS community.
Volunteers will work on Saturday, March 9, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with lunch provided. Hang out and help nature with your friends! Adult volunteer chainsaw operators are needed to help clear small trees (must be over 20 years old). Follow this link to RSVP and sign the consent form - paper copies are also available.
Science Lovers - Help Us Engage Curious Minds!
Do you love science? Have a science-based career? Or maybe a cool hobby? We are looking for presenters for LIS Science Day on Thursday, March 21st, from 7:45 am until 1:45 pm. (Lunch will be provided for presenters.) Our theme for the year is Science is CURIOSITY.
Volunteers will present a science topic of their choice for about 40 minutes to 5 different groups of students. Each homeroom group has about 28 kids. Present a lesson, lead a demonstration, or just deliver a talk about your science-related job! The possibilities are endless, and we are happy to help along the way.
We can only pull off this day if we obtain enough presenters. Even if it’s not you, maybe a coworker, a neighbor, or a family member could help make this day a huge success - please connect us. Contact Sudeepa Hall at hallz6521@gmail.com with any questions.

2024-25 and 2025-26 School Calendars Available
The school calendars are now available for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years. You can view and print an easy-to-read version of the calendar and important dates by following this link to our website.
Transportation Challenges Continue
There is an urgent need for bus drivers for our district. Without additional drivers, we may be forced to skip some routes on some days because we are critically short-staffed. We are working to avoid this, but please create a backup plan for how your family would handle transportation in the event we are forced to limit bus service due to the driver shortage.
Loveland bus drivers receive paid training, health insurance, and retirement benefits. Follow this link to apply online, or call our Transportation Department at 513-683-3103. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors about this great opportunity to help our Loveland City School District community.
