Shelly Schueller - Elementary Teacher- Grades 4K-2
My name is Shelly Schueller. I reside in Kiel, where I was born and raised and have been teaching in the Kiel Area School District for the past 18 years. I am anxious to start this very exciting chapter of my life at Odyssey Academy.
Family- My husband, Victor and I have been married for 16 years this summer. We have 2 daughters who are the complete joy of my life! Branna will be 14 in August and will be in 8th grade. Ava is 10 years old and will be in fifth grade.
I started out my career teaching Title I in preschool and then taught kindergarten for 15 years. The past 2 years, I served as the interventionist and content coach of the school.
I am so excited to be joining the Odyssey Team because I absolutely love working with children on individual goals and working alongside families in a partnership with learning. I love how the students will be able to work at their own pace and am excited to help meet the individual needs anyway that I can.
I am looking forward to working with the students and families at Odyssey!
Kristal Mott-- Elementary Teacher Grades 3-6
I have taught all subjects in 5th through 8th grades, both at a project-based charter school and traditional schools. I obtained my Master of Education in Literacy Degree and K-12 Reading Specialist license and have served as a middle and high school Literacy Coach.
Before I began my teaching career, I homeschooled my sons through Connections Academy - a virtual public school in Appleton, Wisconsin. I loved the experience of being a parent teacher with my sons and am now thrilled to be a part of the teaching team at Odyssey Virtual Academy of Learning. I am looking forward to partnering with parents and students to support their individual academic needs.
Aric Soderbloom- Social Studies Teacher
Hi Everyone. My name is Aric Soderbloom and I live in Stoughton, WI with my wife and two sons, ages 13 and 17. After ten years as a high school principal in Madison, WI, I am excited to get into my virtual classroom and teach social studies classes again. Previous to my work as a principal, I worked in curriculum development and taught social studies at a charter school in Sparta, WI.
I look forward to working with students to design and carry out standards-based projects that challenge students to think deeply, creatively, and to develop strong communication skills.
I love adventure and creativity. When I am not working, I try to find new ways to challenge myself in the outdoors and to feed my creative spirit.
Monica Braun- English/Language Arts Teacher

I love teaching. I am so happy to be part of the Odyssey team because I can build the curriculum based on student's needs through fun, engaging projects! I am excited to partner with familes to give the students the very best education they deserve.

Brooke Knoll- Administrative Assistant
I am so excited to be part of Odyssey because it means being able to be more involved in the district that I graduated from and that my girls will attend. I absolutely love the Ripon area and am looking forward to being part of this new, exciting opportunity and learning more about the virtual education. It's a great feeling to know that I will be part of this from the beginning and can help to continue it's growth. I look forward to working with the Odyssey Team, students and families.
Rebecca Miller- Odyssey Academy Principal
When I began as the virtual school coordinator last August, I had little idea of where this journey would take me. Fast forward about a year... we have traveled miles in preperation of opening in fall. I am so thankful to be sharing my passion of online learning with the team of teachers and staff at Odyssey. We are thrilled to serve our students and families through this unique partnership. During the last several months, I have learned so much from parents about the educational opportunity that they are seeking for their children. I am thrilled to be working with our students, staff and families at Odyssey Academy in this capacity.
For the past eighteen years, I have been in the field of education. My background includes a degree in Elementary Education from UW- Madison and a Masters Degree in Administrative Leadership from UW-Milwaukee where I earned my Principal and Curriculum & Instruction licenses. I have taught in both traditional brick and mortar classrooms and online instruction. My passion for online education was sparked by teaching online through CESA #2 and being a virtual student myself. The flexibility and individualization of learning that virtual education offers students and teachers are a couple of it's many benefits.
My family and I reside in Mukwonago, WI. Craig and I have been married for eighteen years and have three children, Avalyn-14, Isaac- 11 and Olivia- 9. They all keep us very busy!
I am looking forward to creating successful partnerships between the familes, students and staff at Odyssey Academy. It is my sincere hope that this learning community will create many influential and lasting relationships. Together, I know that we can accopmplish great things for our students.
Your partner in education,
Rebecca Miller
