EOC Information
Dear Families,
The fall End of Course testing window is quickly approaching. The Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments evaluate students’ progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. EOC Assessments provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students, and educational programs.
EOC Assessments are taken when a student has received instruction on the Missouri Learning Standards for an assessment, regardless of grade level. Missouri requires four at the high school level prior to high school graduation.
- Algebra I/II
- English II
- Biology
- Government
Only students who have taken the course in previous school years and missed the scheduled examination will test during the fall window. Common reasons students would have missed the EOC are absenteeism the day of the exam, COVID related absenteeism, the student was virtual during testing.
The fall window is:
12/6-12/18

NKCSD DISTRICT COMMUNICATION
Mask Requirement Communication on 7.29.21
NKC Schools families and staff:
Yesterday, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas issued an emergency public health order requiring masks at all times indoors. This order impacts all individuals over the age of 5, regardless of vaccination status.
As a result, beginning Monday, August 2, masks will be required for all students, staff and visitors indoors at all NKC Schools sites. This includes all individuals; those who have received the vaccine and those who have not.
If your child is currently attending one of our year-round schools, summer Adventure Club programming or other indoor activities, please plan to send them to school each day with a mask to wear indoors. A back-up mask is also highly recommended. Additionally, masks are still required on buses at all times due to a federal mandate.
NKC Schools remains in close contact with our partners at both the Clay County and Kansas City Health Departments just as we’ve been all summer. We will continue to collaborate with local health partners to determine any other changes to COVID-19 mitigation practices before the school year begins August 23. We will also continue to provide updates and regular communication to you in this time where adaptability is required. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you for your partnership and flexibility as we continue to monitor the changing situations around us and adjust our practices to best serve all students, staff and families.
