Preschool Enrollment for 2024-2025 School Year
Edith Teter Preschool PAPER Enrollment begins Monday, February 26!
All RETURNING students please pick up an enrollment packet at the front desk beginning Monday.
This first round is for currently enrolled students only. We will open enrollment to the public at a later date.
All families with a child who will be 4 years old on or before October 1, 2024 can apply to Colorado Universal Preschool starting February 29th! The general application will be open to all families. This will be required as part of your child's enrollment process. Apply to UPK HERE!
From February 29th to March 28th, only those families that meet the continuity of care, employee, or sibling priority criteria outlined in our pre-registration enrollment guidelines will be matched to providers. (Directly from CDEC UPK)

Register for a series of webinars to learn about becoming an early childhood teacher through apprenticeship. Join Colorado Mesa University, Red Rocks Community College and TEACH Colorado to learn how to get career and financial support and how to apply to a program. The monthly series will begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Family Child Tax Credit!
Dear Child Care Provider,
It’s tax season and you and/or families you serve may be eligible for thousands of dollars in tax credits! Help your families get their refunds and tax credits this tax season, including the TABOR rebate. Learn what’s new for tax season 2024, as well as quick and simple ways to refer families to free tax filing options at the Get Ahead Colorado/Hacia Adelante Colorado.
This year you and/or your families may qualify for:
- Up to $7,430 for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit
- Up to $1,600 for the refundable federal Child Tax Credit
- 50% match for Colorado Earned Income Tax Credit (tax year 2023 only)
- $800 for individuals or $1,600 for couples filing jointly for TABOR.

February is National Snack Food Month View In Spanish | Vea en español Serve Up Fun and Healthy Snacks Nutritious snacks can be a great way to give children the nutrients and energy they need to grow, learn, and play. Check out the "Dried Fruit and Cereal Snack Mix" and "Chicken and Cheese Snack Cup With Grapes" recipes, with portions for children ages 3-5 and 6-18, in the Institute of Child Nutrition's Child Nutrition Recipe Box. Reducing the Risk of Choking in Young Children Children under the age of 4 are at high risk of choking while eating. Young children are still learning how to chew food properly, and they often swallow the food whole.
