Swim & Dive Wraps Up Championship Season Recognizing Superhero Coaches
Our Swim & Dive Program celebrated a fantastic season at their banquet on Wednesday night. Along with boxes and boxes of pizza, students, families, and coaches were able to celebrate together and highlight the many accomplishments achieved this year. At the end of the evening, students from our Student-Athlete Leadership Team presented our coaches with "My Superhero Coach Awards." Thank you to Coach Randall, Coach Coyle, and Coach Roberts, as well as our volunteers Coach Buckley and Coach Lewis, for working hard to create a program that allows our students to be and feel successful!
DHS ITP Lacrosse Tournament a Success
Congratulations to our Girls’ and Boys’ Lacrosse programs who hosted a successful 2024 Inside The Perimeter (ITP) Lacrosse Tournament this weekend. The tournament included 8 teams, 8 games, and a lot of exciting lacrosse! Both Bulldog teams were victorious in Round 1 as the girls defeated Chamblee and the boys beat Lakeside. In Saturday’s championship match, our girls fell short after a great comeback against a strong North Forsyth team. Later in the afternoon, the boys claimed another ITP Championship defeating Riverwood in the final!
Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to make this event a success! Good luck to our teams as head into important Area matches.

Inspirational Ideas
In the End, It's About Relationships
This week, Jason Kelce, longtime Philadelphia Eagles center, retired from the NFL. At his press conference, people were confused to see his ankles taped as if he was heading to practice. It was revealed later that he had took this opportunity to ask Eagles trainer and his close friend who is battling cancer to wrap his ankles one last time.

This sentimental story highlights what we sometimes forget in the heat of competition. In the end, the relationships built with teammates, coaches, supporters, staff, etc. provide a lasting reward that makes the experience worthwhile!
Partnering With The Positive Coaching Alliance
What are YOUR Youth Sports Goals?
This year, the Bulldogs are partnering again with the Positive Coaching Alliance to enhance the experience of our students, coaches, and Bulldog families. The PCA has a vast number of resources that can help us make the most of our experience.
This resource is an activity aimed at helping families determine what their goals are as student-athletes. This exercise can spark some important conversations about how families decide to navigate this experience. Making sure everyone is on the same page about what desired outcomes can help to create a positive experience!
