Solar Eclipse Information
The solar eclipse will take place on Monday, April 8, 2024. Please refer to the infographic below for eclipse start and end times including the time for the maximum eclipse. As a precaution, recess will take place indoors tomorrow in order to ensure students are not tempted to stare at the sun.
The eclipse will be live streamed by our Tech team for teachers to display on their Clever Touch in the classroom. A link for the live stream will be sent out before hand. Our 8th grade students will be allowed to go outside to view the solar eclipse with viewing glasses ONLY if they have parent permission on the Google Form that went out.
Prior to dismissal, teachers will reiterate the importance of not looking directly at the sun.
