Tomorrow our fifth graders will be bringing home an informational letter about 5th grade breakfast. Please make sure to be on the look out for the blue flyer.

Husky Quest will be our school’s largest fundraiser on Thursday, April 18 with a rain date of Friday, April 19! The whole school will celebrate our fundraising efforts with a Husky Quest. 100% of the proceeds will support our North community!

Last Call for the Yearbook Sale!
Are you interested in ordering a yearbook for your child this year?
Please view this flier. Yearbook orders are due April 1 and can only be purchased online through the TreeRing website.
Remember to enter North’s code: 1016033011854924
Families will be able to create 2 custom pages to their child’s yearbook for free. Please follow the directions on the flier to design and upload your unique memories.
Yearbooks will be shipped to school in May.

Savers Donations
Spring Cleaning! Donation collections will be collected on Wednesday & Thursday (3/20-3/21) this week in the school parking lot from 3-5 PM. Look for the U-haul truck! Use the bag that was sent home with your student. Any questions please contact Shea at sheamcdons@hotmail.com
Save the Date Husky Quest Fundraiser
Look for the fundraising packet that will come home on Thursday March 21st! All the details on how to raise money will be in there!
We need volunteers to help out during the fun run on April 18th. Sign up to help during your child’s fun run time!! SIGN UP HERE
Husky Quest will be our school’s largest fundraiser! The whole school will celebrate our fundraising efforts with a Husky Quest fun run around the outside of North including hurdles, inflatable obstacle courses, bubble run, hula hoop hop, and more. The fundraising will take place the four weeks leading up to the fun run - students will collect donations for our Husky Quest. 100% of the proceeds will go to support the students and staff at North! The money they collect will go towards field trips, free family events, supplies, assemblies, materials requested by teachers, playground equipment and so much more!

Garden Club
It’s about that time of year again! The first Garden Club meeting of the 2024 season will be Tuesday April 2nd at 3:30pm - 4:15pm on the west side of the building. Parents need to remain with their children but are not obligated to participate.

Important Measles Information
There have been six confirmed cases of measles in Illinois in the past six months. Be alert for symptoms of measles such as fever, cough, pink eye, runny nose followed by rash. The Measles Mumps Rubella vaccine (otherwise known as MMR) is a highly effective vaccine that provides measles immunity. Please do not hesitate to call the MCDH Communicable Disease or Immunization Programs at 815-334-4500 with any questions regarding measles or to see if an individual is able to receive the vaccine at the health department. FitnessGram Testing
Students in grades 3-8 will participate in FitnessGram testing during Physical Education (P.E.) starting after spring break (4/1/24 - 5/20/24). FitnessGram is a nationally recognized, criterion-referenced assessment to determine students’ fitness levels based on what is optimal for good health. The assessment measures the five health-related components of physical fitness that have been identified as important for overall health: cardiovascular endurance, body composition and muscular endurance, strength and flexibility. Early Entrance and Accelerated Placements
The application for early entrance to kindergarten/first grade and accelerated placements must be completed on or before March 29, 2024. For information, eligibility, and application links, click here.
Multicultural Literacy Night
On April 10th, BPAC is hosting a Multicultural Literacy Night to honor and celebrate the diversity in our school district. Multicultural Literacy Night is an opportunity for our multilingual students, families, faculty, and staff to experience many diverse countries, cultures, and traditions through the lens of literacy. We are thrilled to have children's author, Evelyn Sanchez-Toledo, presenting at this event! We are looking forward to seeing you there!
