A Message from the Principal
Dear Viking Families,
Today we got to celebrate our students that sold 3 or more boxes of Candybars for our PTO fundraiser with a trip to ZipCity. Thank you to all of the families that participated in this fundraiser, the students really enjoyed their time today!
The week of February 27th will kick off Read Across America week with some exciting activities. We will have a spirit week to go along with all of the reading that we will be doing! On 3/3, there will be the opportunity for parents to read to their child's class (must have a background check on file).
Our canned food drive is off to a great start, with the top collecting classroom in grades K-3 having 530 canned food items and our 4th-6th top collecting classroom bringing in 451 items. The top collecting classrooms in Kindergarten-3rd and 4th-6th will earn an ice cream party from our Valley Mills Student Council. Keep bringing in those canned food items over the next two weeks!
IREAD 3 is the week of March 13-17, 2023 for all of our 3rd-grade students. We will be testing in the morning, so please try to plan accordingly for any appointments that your child may have that week.
I hope that you all have a wonderful 3 day weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Richey
Proud Principal of Valley Mills Elementary
