Seniors - Final Online Senior Survey
Attention Seniors!!!
It’s time to complete your Final Online Senior Survey. This information is needed for district, state and federal reports that must be completed about the Class of 2024.
Log into Backpack. Go to EDUCATION APPS; select the SCHOOLINKS icon. Go to the TO DO LIST tab. Then click 'Senior Year End Activity' (Personal information, Final transcript, graduation attendance, scholarship summary), 'FAFSA Completion' (if not going to college, select 'won’t file') and 'Set up Personal Account for Alumni Access.' Answer the questions in all three sections honestly.
Senior Day/Yearbook Distribution Day- May 3!
Seniors
All Seniors will report to 1st block on Friday, May 3. Seniors without 1st block will report directly to Auditorium. (Students must be in dress code while in the building)
- 9AM Seniors Dismissed to Auditorium
- 10AM Seniors dismissed outside for activities
- 11:55AM Seniors with OPEN PM/Bonds may leave, those with 3rd and 4th block classes will return to normal schedule
Yearbook Distribution
Students will receive a card if they have purchased a yearbook in 1st block. If students don’t receive a card, they need to wait until their lunch shift on May 3 to come see Mrs. Genovese in Ms. Vaughn’s room B107.

AT LUNCH: Anyone who wishes to purchase a book or has a question may stop by Ms. Vaughn’s room B107. Book sales will end after 3rd lunch shift.
After May 3, students will need to stop by B116 to purchase or pick up yearbooks. Again, all book sales will end after 3rd lunch.
Senior Clap Out Information
Tigerville Elementary Senior Clap Out
All Tigerville alumni graduating seniors mark you calendars! We want to honor our graduating seniors with a clap out on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Bring your cap and gowns and gather in the media center starting at 12:45 pm. You will need to bring your ID and check in through the office. The clap out will begin at 1 pm. Skyland Elementary Graduation Walk
Graduating Skyland Alumni are invited to join our 5th graders to walk the halls one more time on Wednesday, May 16! Please wear your cap and gown and bring your ID to check in at the front office. Please park in the overflow parking lot. Arrive by 8:00am.
Thomas E. Kerns Elementary Graduation Walk
Thomas E. Kerns Elementary is excited to host a Graduation Walk and celebration for our alumni that are graduating high school this year. This will take place at TEK on May 16 at 1:30PM. The students will walk our halls in a graduation parade, and we will have an activity/gift bags for them in the gym afterwards. I have attached a flyer for your seniors. Blue Ridge Choir Pop Show
The Blue Ridge Choirs are thrilled to present UNDERDOGS - this year's annual pop show! Our show features songs about overcoming obstacles, defying expectations, rising above mediocrity, and celebrating the heroic nature in all of us. Some highlights include "Raise Your Glass," "I'll Make A Man Out Of You," and "Shake It Off."
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from Mr. Reid or online at the included link. Tickets will also be sold at the door.

Seat Time Recovery - Only 3 Opportunities Left
The next Seat Time Recovery opportunity is May 4th! If your student is over in absences, please have them talk to their counselors about STR.
Second Semester Seat Time Recovery Dates
In order to receive high school credit, a student may have up to 10 unlawful absences (5 unexcused absences and 5 parent notes) in a full credit course, and a student may have up to 6 unlawful absences (3 unexcused absences and 3 parent notes) in a half credit course. After the 10th unlawful absence, “seat time recovery” is required for every subsequent absence that is unlawful.
Summer School Information
Any student that has failed, is in danger of failing, or fails due to attendance for a course required for promotion will be required to partipate in our FREE summer school program. The program will have certified teachers, breakfast, lunch, and bus transportation for those in need. Students are required to attend the in-person sessions so that they can receive the necessary assistance needed to pass and receive credit for the course. If a student signs up after May 1st transportation cannot be guaranteed.
If your child meets the above criteria, please register him or her for Summer School. Students can get a Registration Form from the Counseling Office or complete the online Registration form.
VirtualSC Exam Day
Students taking Initial Credit VirtualSC exams will be testing in the Media Center on Monday, May 6th during 1st and 2nd periods. Student will be given a pass to the Media Center and should bring their charged chrome book. Students, if you have a conflict, please contact Ms. Fevrin to make an appointment for testing. Or students may pay a small fee to use MonitorEDU to test virtually. Check the VirtualSC webpage under Exams for more information.
Greenville Rec Summer Camp Counselors
Are you looking for a summer job? Then the Greenville Rec is looking for Summer Camp Counselors at Slater Hall for the summer. They will be at Blue Ridge HS on Thursday, May 2nd during all lunch shifts. Be sure to stop by their table for information and questions.
"Dancing Through the Decades" BRHS 2024 Prom
The Blue Ridge High School Junior Senior Prom will be held at the Hilton located at 45 West Orchard Park Drive, Greenville, SC 29615 on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 7:00 – 11:00 PM. Tickets will go on sale April 1st – 15th; Ms. Treffinger will be selling prom tickets in the Media Center during these specified days. In order to purchase a prom ticket, students must first complete their Prom Permission Form; Prom Permission Forms are available now, and students may collect a Prom Permission Form from the Student Information Center across from Mrs. Thornton’s office or from Mrs. Treffinger in the Media Center. Students will receive their tickets when they submit their completed Prom Permission Form along with their payment. Prom Tickets are $40 per person and are non-transferrable.
Corps of Cadets Color Guard Auditions
The Corps of Cadets Color Guard will be hosting auditions next week for the fall 2024 season! Color Guard is open to any 6-12th grader and no experience is required. Auditions will be Monday 4/29, Tuesday 4/30, and Thursday 5/2 from 4-6pm. Come out to auditions and bring a friend!
BRHS Book Fair
The BRHS library will be hosting a book fair for students to purchase books and other items May 7-9. Family night will be on May 9th and teachers will have the opportunity to create wish lists for people to donate books to their classroom. See flyer for more details.

Adventure Club
By popular demand, the Adventure Club will now hold regularly scheduled meetings during lunches on Wednesday. Club meetings will be held in B120, Ms. Morrill's classroom and will plan upcoming events and talk about adventure activities.
Book Club
Book Club will meet every other Tuesday. There will be a morning session at 8:15 with Ms. Treffinger and an afternoon session immediately following school with Ms. Niemela, so attend whichever is more convenient for you! We look forward to seeing you there to talk about books with us!

Gaming Club
The Game Club will meet every Wednesday from 3:45-5:30 in Room D118. We play board games, video games (mainly smash bro's), and DnD. We would love to get a faction of students together to begin playing Magic the Gathering as well.
