Sharing The Homeschool Heart... Start off slow
School is about to start, and I know many of us are overthinking the beginning of the school year. That is ok! I will list a few things for you to consider as you begin your preparations for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year.
For someone like me who's undecided, grab an excellent classic literature book, a stack of board games and get comfortable on the couch with some historical or science-based documentaries. No plan can work too, so there's no need to stress. A slow, leisurely start can give you just the right circumstances to create a warm and fun entrance into the new school year. While you spend your time, snuggling, reading, discussing your school plans with your kids, a routine will establish itself, and patterns will emerge. A natural rhythm to homeschool begins, and your fears, stress, and worry begin to subside. Ride the waves of confidence and energy and do more in those times. When life gets busy, permit yourself to think outside the box to fill in all the homeschool space. It will be a success this year, no matter how you plan or don't plan it out!
~Candice

Audrey Everson
Hi everyone! I am a mom of 3 awesome kids ranging in age from 11 to 7 years old. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for 16 years. Having homeschooled our children over the last 7 years in 3 different states, I've found homeschooling here in California, especially with Inspire Charter, has been a great fit for our homeschool journey. I am grateful for our ability to homeschool so freely and I aspire to assist other families with their own homeschool adventures!
