Principal's Message
Congratulations to our Lincoln graduates. It certainly has been an interesting finish to an interesting year. I am proud of all of you and wish you the best in high school and beyond. Come back and see us sometime!
I want to remind all families that paper copies of report cards will not be sent home this year. Final grades for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can be accessed through the parent portal. Click here for instructions.
Please be sure to read the notes from the office below. The Lincoln office is open throughout the summer. I recommend calling or emailing ahead, so a trip to the school office is not in vain. We will have fragmented hours as we continue to practice minimal contact and social distancing.
Staying healthy over the summer is the most important thing you can do. It won't be your typical summer, and it might be tough to stay on the social distancing track, but I hope families find time to rest and relax just the same. We are hoping for a healthy start to the new school year . . . whenever that will be. This is our last parent newsletter for the school year, but please be sure to check your email for updates regarding plans for the 2020/21 school year. The district will keep families informed as decisions can be made and plans put in place.
Again, congratulations to the Class of 2020, and make it a great summer,
Mr. Suminski
The Lincoln Office!
Check out the front page of our website for links to that information.
Summer hours at Lincoln! This district has set the following guidelines:
- The schools will be open for operational purposes, Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 3:30pm and Friday 8:00am to noon.
- The District Administration Building will be open to the public 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to noon on Friday.
Mr. Suminski and Mrs. Atkinson work throughout the entire summer, but have sporadic schedules due to vacation plans, renovation work in the building, and working from home. Also, we are often on location, but not in the front office. So, please email ahead of time to be sure we will be in the office if you need to stop by. You can reach Mrs. Atkinson at: latkinson@d57.org or Mr. Suminski at psuminski@d57.org.
Have a great summer break!

Thank you to the 2019-2020 PTO Members!
This was definitely NOT the way anybody thought that this school year would end! We began with great success and wonderful events, and ended up staying at home during a pandemic! Even so, the monthly meetings, whether in person or virtual, were very positive, helpful, and convinced us that we have a great PTO. The majority of the events went off as planned. It is a shame that the eighth-graders weren’t able to have all of their special recognition events prior to moving on to High School, but they will definitely have a story to tell their children someday.
We would like to thank everyone for all of their hard work throughout the year. You will be receiving emails sometime over the next few weeks inquiring about participation next year. We hope to see everyone who’s available again in 2020-21. Have a great summer and stay safe!

PTO THANK YOU FROM THE GRADUATION COMMITTEE!
Congratulations Class of 2020 ... what a great day we had yesterday for the celebration parade and virtual graduation! We hope you know how proud we are of our graduates and wish you the best of luck for a fun and successful high school career.
We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this year-end a memorable and special experience for you.
THANK YOU to the 8th grade planning committee and volunteers who had worked throughout the school year planning the year-end celebrations. When the need to redesign the activities occurred, this group rose to the challenge. THANK YOU everyone for your flexibility and creativity to redesign the year-end events. Your time and effort was greatly appreciated. THANK YOU to Venus, Kristin M, Theresa, Kerry and Kim for all the creativity, coordination and planning they did prior to the redesign as well as their support with the redesign. THANK YOU to Kristin H for all your work on the baby video, Lisa W for your coordination of the grad t-shirt process, Jamie for your work on the info flyer and yard sign design.
THANK YOU to our generous parent community for their contributions - specifically Dan S (for your help with the yard signs and donation of the info flyer) and Denise T (for your generous donation of the wristbands).
THANK YOU to the Lincoln teachers and staff for your continuous support with communicating our plans, delivering the yard signs and participating in the celebration parade. A specific THANK YOU to Mrs. Traversone and Mrs. Rose (for your help with sending out reminder communications), and Mr. Suminski, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Moran and the entire Lincoln staff for creating and participating in the virtual awards ceremony, celebration parade and virtual graduation.
Finally, a big THANK YOU to Mr. Ruggiero for creating the various memory videos for the class of 2020. These videos will be getting sent the week of June 15 via an email link.
Once again CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2020. Have a great summer and best of luck in high school!
