IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Saturday Football Matches
Sorry to say, but due to the state of all pitches plus a rather wet forecast for tomorrow (Saturday 9 January) , all football matches home and away are cancelled.
Mr Turner - Director of Sport
Emergency Closure Guidance
FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
Welcome back to the Lent term, I hope all had a happy and restful holiday. We have started the year with a number of thoughts for the boys to reflect on, from ensuring that they seize their opportunities and to the fact that it is not a weakness to cry. Year 9 have had an excellent introduction to career choices (thank you Mrs Rogers - Head of Year 12), so please talk to your sons about these messages.
We hope to start our football fixtures, however the pitches are very wet so please ensure that you look for the latest information on venues and whether a game is going ahead.
A very busy term is planned, I look forward to seeing you at the various forthcoming activities.
The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are: Hard work, Stick-to-itiveness and Common sense. Thomas A Edison

FROM THE OFFICE
Burns Night Supper
The annual Burns Night Supper will take place on Saturday 30 January at Senior Boys. All funds raised will support our Touring Sports sides. Please see the flyer for further information on how to book tickets.
Year 9 Immunisation
Our School Nurse has posted home a letter and form, please ensure that this is completed appropriately and returned to school. The form must be returned to school even if you do not wish your son to be immunised. The date for this is Thursday 11 February.
Clothing Collection
Thank you to all those who donated clothing, footwear, hats and gloves before Christmas. All the donations were gratefully received, without which they could not be able to support society’s most vulnerable people.
Lost Property
We are trying to track down a brand new pair of rowing leggings lost in school this week. Has anyone picked them up by mistake? They have a name tag of ‘Foy’ in them. We are also searching for a Claires Court kit bag belonging to Rupert Miller. We think it may have been picked up by accident on the evening of 7 January. If found , please return to the school office, thank you.
Found Property
A gents watch has been handed in from the bus company. We are not sure if it belongs to a Claires Court pupil – but we will keep it for safety until Wednesday 13 January, if not claimed we will return it to the bus company to try other schools. Please contact the office if you think it may be yours.
