THE THREE HOOTS
CLASSROOM UPDATE
Math
We have wrapped up our division unit and took the assessment today. It was a good review of multiplication, as we talked about related facts. The students also worked on solving 2 step word problems. Multiplication and division will continue to be practiced often.
Social Studies
This week we learned about he impact of the British in Michigan. We explored The French and Indian War, Pontiac's Rebellion and the relationship between Britain and the Indians.
Writing
We have continued to work on our informational writing. We are researching the state symbols of Michigan. This week we will begin to use that information to write our essays.
Read to the Moon
For the month of March, we are going to be focusing on our school wide March Into Reading challenge. Students should read, read, read so that we can "read to the moon." There will no additional reading calendar or homework.
